Tony and Katrina

A long drive to enjoy a wedding in beautiful Northumberland
Tony and Katrina hail from Cheshire but had decided to tie the knot at Le Petit Château bring the family with them for the occasion. Tony had asked during booking if he could supply the majority of the playlist and with a little bit of guidance added I told him to send it over.
I was just back from my holiday in Portugal when the list arrived. 113 songs long so the first thing I did was look at the play length and then get to work on sorting it out into section that could be mixed. I dropped Tony and email to say there was no chance of getting them off played in the 4 and a half hours available.
Tony had also booked a gobo and monogram projection for the room, problem is there are no great walls at LPC to project onto so I started by putting it on the fire breast for the cake cutting photos, then moved it to the dance floor later.
It has to be said I've never played much Hip Hop at wedding and Tony's list had quite a bit, but all of it went down really well and I was in a happy place. It was then followed up with a good 45 mins of classic 90's dance music.
They were a great couple and the guest were very pleasant and took it well that we could have only a few requests over the night but the dance floor stayed busy and Tony's list worked a treat. I won't lie I normally get the shivers when people want to dictate the whole nights music and it can be so hard to get right.
Another great bonus was meeting Amii, the couple photographer and a lovely lady who runs Mr and Mrs I do Photography. A new name to me as she had travelled all the way 4hrs from Birmingham to take the photos. As a photography student I love a good chat with the photographers and like to share a few tips.
